ASML Reports Wednesday, TSMC Thursday: Auditing the AI Boom

This week, the world's most important chipmaker — and the Dutch company that sells it the machines to make them — get 48 hours to answer the only question the market still cares about: is the AI boom real money, or an extraordinarily expensive story being told with borrowed cash? On Wednesday, October 14, ASML reports third-quarter results at 07:00 CET, followed by an investor call at 15:00. On Thursday, October 15, TSMC holds its full third-quarter earnings conference at 14:00 Taiwan time — 02:00 on the US East Coast, for anyone brave enough to set an alarm. Two companies, 24 hours apart, and between them they own both ends of the AI supply chain. ASML is the only company on earth that can build the machines that print advanced chips.
