LEGAL BILLS Meta Q3 2026: $64.6B Sales Beat, Then a $9.9B Legal Bill The ad machine printed $64.6 billion. The courts invoiced nearly the same amount in a single week. Here's why Wall Street still bought the stock. Published October 23, 2026 · By Daniel Rao, TechPulse USA Meta had the best quarter in its history this week — and the worst legal week in its history. Both happened on the same day. The company's third-quarter results, reported after the closing bell on Wednesday, read like two different companies fighting over one balance sheet. One Meta beat every sales estimate on the board for the 17th consecutive quarter . The other Meta just booked a $9.89 billion legal charge — and woke up the same morning to a judge ordering it to pay another $25 billion . The $64.6 billion quarter nobody will remember Strip out the courtroom drama and this was a monster quarter. Revenue hit $64.6 billion, up 26% from a year ago and ahead of the roughly $63.3 billion Wall Street ex...

IBM Q3 2026: $2.95 EPS Beat and the $7.8B Software Comeback

SOFTWARE COMEBACK: IBM Q3 2026: $2.95 EPS Beat and the $7.8B Software Comeback IBM just posted the quarter Arvind Krishna spent three months defending: revenue beat, profit beat, software up 8%, and the deals that "slipped" in July actually came back. Published October 22, 2026 · By Daniel Rao, TechPulse USA Image: TechPulse USA Three months ago, IBM's chief executive asked investors to trust him on one of the hardest sell lines in corporate America — that the deals had slipped, but the demand had not. On Wednesday night, the numbers showed he was right. IBM reported third-quarter revenue of $17.10 billion , up roughly 5% from a year earlier and comfortably ahead of the $16.82 billion analysts expected. Adjusted earnings hit $2.95 a share against a $2.86 consensus — an 11% jump from last year's quarter. Net income climbed to $2.19 billion , up from $1.74 billion a year ago. For a company whose stock suffered its worst single day on record on July 14 — a ...

SpaceX Q3: AI Revenue Topped Rockets, Profit Hit $4.4B

Image
By Daniel Rao · Oct 21, 2026 Elon Musk's rocket company just had its best quarter ever — and the money barely came from rockets. SpaceX swung to a $4.4 billion third-quarter profit on $14.58 billion of revenue, blowing past Wall Street's estimates, and the engine behind the beat was an AI business that looks, on closer inspection, almost nothing like an AI lab. It looks like a landlord. One that rents out computing power to the very companies beating it. Revenue jumped 161% from a year earlier and landed comfortably above the $12.72 billion analysts expected, according to LSEG data. The bottom line was the real shock: $4.4 billion of net income against a $1.1 billion loss in the same quarter last year and a $1.57 billion consensus profit. Per-share, it earned 45 cents, outstripping a 13-cent average estimate. That is not a beat. That is a different postal code from the estimates. Netflix Stock Crashed 7% on Weak Q4 Forecast After Beat

Image
Published October 21, 2026 · By Daniel Rao, TechPulse USA Netflix fired its chief content officer, its film chief and roughly 6% of its workforce in the six days before reporting earnings — and then reported a beat. Wall Street's response was to send the stock down anyway. That is the whole story of Netflix's third quarter in one sentence, and it reads like a management consultant's fever dream: purge the executive ranks, tell a thousand people their jobs are gone, walk into earnings with numbers that clear the bar, and get punished for it regardless. But the punishment wasn't for the quarter. The quarter was fine — $12.87 billion in revenue, up 11.8%, and $0.87 a share against the roughly $0.82 Wall Street expected. The punishment was for everything Netflix said about the quarter to come: a soft fourth-quarter forecast, a cut to its advertising forecast, and the creeping sense that the most valuable company in streaming still isn't growing fast enough to jus...

Tesla's Profit Fell 43% — Wall Street Loved It Anyway

Tesla's Roadster cold-gas thruster demo (Oct 15) set the stage for the Q3 earnings report. Image: TechPulse USA EARNINGS PREVIEW: Tesla Q3 Earnings 2026: 5 Numbers That Move the Stock Tesla reports Wednesday after the close. Deliveries beat by 5% — and Wall Street still expects earnings down 12%. Here's why the quarter's real test isn't the headline. Published October 20, 2026 · By Daniel Rao, TechPulse USA Tesla reports third-quarter 2026 results after the market closes on Wednesday, October 21 , with the earnings call at 5:30 p.m. ET . The setup is the oddest of the week — Meta reports the same evening — because Tesla beat its delivery estimate by 5.3% , and analysts still expect adjusted earnings to fall roughly 12% from a year ago . The Zacks consensus: $0.44 per share EPS on $27.8 billion revenue — flat sales, double-digit profit decline. Tesla sold more cars and will report making less money per dollar of sales. Wednesday is the reckoning over why . Here are the...

Netflix Earnings: 3 Numbers That Decide Your 2027 Bill

Image
Image: TechPulse USA STREAMING WARS The stock is down 25% this year. Americans are cancelling faster and watching less per person. Tonight, Netflix has to prove the streaming giant still knows how to grow — or your monthly bill becomes the growth strategy. Published October 20, 2026 · By Daniel Rao, TechPulse USA Netflix reports third-quarter earnings after the closing bell tonight — 1:31am IST Wednesday — and the setup could hardly be tenser. The stock has shed roughly a quarter of its value in 2026. U.S. subscribers are cancelling at an accelerating rate. And for the first time in the streaming era, the company's biggest competitor isn't another streamer at all — it's YouTube. Wall Street expects revenue of about $12.87 billion and earnings of $0.82 per share . But the headline numbers are the least interesting part of tonight's report. What actually matters — for the stock and for your wallet — are three deeper signals buried inside the release. Number 1: Can ...

ASML Cannot Build Machines Fast Enough for AI Demand

Image
By the TechPulse USA Newsroom | Veldhoven, Netherlands | 14 October 2026 Here is a sentence you do not hear often from a company that has just posted the best quarter in its history: we cannot keep up. ASML said exactly that on Wednesday. The Dutch company that makes the machines every advanced chip depends on reported record third-quarter sales of €11.7 billion, raised the floor of its full-year forecast, handed shareholders billions — and then told its customers, in so many words, that it will not have enough machines for them in 2027 or 2028. Read that again, because it is the whole story. The bottleneck in the artificial intelligence boom is no longer money, or power, or even memory. It is the factory floor in Veldhoven. The company with a near-monopoly on the most advanced chipmaking equipment on Earth cannot build its machines fast enough, and it knows it. This is the payoff to our preview earlier this week , when we set out what to watch in ASML’s third quarter and in TSMC’...
