Reddit Banned AI From Open Source — Linux Fails Its Own Test By TechPulse USA Reddit's biggest open-source forum has banned artificial intelligence — and in doing so, it has written a rule that would ban the most famous open-source project on Earth. On Saturday evening, a moderator of r/opensource, posting under the name Wolvereness, published new submission rules with a title that left no room for negotiation: "Your tokens aren't valuable: No more AI." The opening line did the rest: "If your project uses AI, is made by AI, or is intended for AI, it's not welcome on r/opensource. AI, as it exists today, is incongruent to this Open Source community." Then came the line that gave the whole fight its slogan. "Tokens are cheap," the post explains, "and we don't care how many you spent to make your amazing project."
