The Harrigans are bloody back. MobLand Season 2 premieres today — Friday, September 18, 2026 — on Paramount+, with Tom Hardy returning as fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Pierce Brosnan and Dame Helen Mirren. Here is everything US viewers need: the release schedule, the cast, the plot setup, and how to watch.

The Harrigans are bloody back

Season 1 turned a London crime family into one of streaming's unlikeliest juggernauts. Now the empire is fractured, the rivals are circling, and the man caught in the middle — Hardy's street-smart fixer — has to hold it all together with a target on his back.

Season 2 premieres globally on Paramount+ on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 3:01 a.m. ET. Set your alarms or dodge spoilers — your call.

When every episode drops

The season runs 10 episodes, with new episodes dropping weekly on Friday mornings through the season finale on November 20, 2026. No binge dump, no split season — old-school weekly television, which suits a show built on cliffhangers.

The first season, which debuted in March 2025, became one of Paramount+'s biggest hits ever, reaching 26 million viewers and ranking as the platform's second most-watched original series at the time. That is the bar Season 2 has to clear.

The family business: who's back

Tom Hardy returns as Harry Da Souza, the fixer caught between warring factions. Pierce Brosnan is back as Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan — the marriage at the rotten core of the empire.

Returning cast also includes Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan, Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza, Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan, plus Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Janet McTeer and Toby Jones. It is one of the deepest ensembles on television, and Season 2 gives the supporting players more room to scheme.

New blood, new enemies

New series regulars Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond join the ensemble as the story expands, with Flynn appearing as one of the season's main antagonists. Every crime saga needs fresh predators, and the trailers suggest Flynn's character wastes no time making enemies of the Harrigans.

"Prepare for uncivil war": what Season 2 is about

According to the official synopsis, the 10-episode season "will see the Harrigans struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire — and Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable 'fixer', must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify."

The tagline says it all: "Prepare for uncivil war." Trailers released in July and August promise gunfights, betrayal and a family civil war spilling into every corner of the Harrigans' lives, where "loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy."

The real drama happened off-camera

The road to Season 2 had its own plot twists. In May, reports claimed Hardy would not return for a third season after on-set issues with executive producer Jez Butterworth and 101 Studios — including accounts that the actor stayed in his trailer for hours. The claims were swiftly disputed, and in late June Hardy met with Butterworth and executive producer David Glasser in London, clearing the air.

Reports now indicate Paramount+ has already renewed the series for a third season, with Hardy, Brosnan and Mirren expected back. Whatever happened in May, the money and the audience won.

How to watch MobLand in the US

MobLand streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States, and Season 1 is available now for anyone catching up before tonight's premiere. If you have not watched Season 1, you have roughly ten weeks of Fridays to get current — start now.

The honest verdict

Crime dramas live or die on their second seasons, and MobLand has set itself a brutal test: follow up 26 million viewers with a family civil war that has to feel bigger without feeling recycled. The ingredients are all here — Hardy's fixer walking the tightrope, a new antagonist in Flynn, and a behind-the-scenes renewal that says Paramount+ is betting big.

If the trailers are honest, Season 2 is meaner, bloodier, and more fractured than the first. For a show called MobLand, that is exactly right.
